Hey! My name is Joshua Goodwin, and I have had the privilege to run and win over 35 political advocacy and campaigns both for Democrats and Republicans. The reason for working for both parties came from personal experiences because as a person you are always evolving and changing. But one thing is for sure: people are people, and we are more alike than different. The course work I want to provide will give you insights to every aspect of running a successful political or advocacy campaign from how do you hire a qualified staff to how to fundraise (oh don’t get me started on sign waving and knowing where the precincts are). I know these questions and more are answers you need, but you also need a solid holistic approach to manage the needs of your candidate, your team and yourself (don’t forget that part). Let’s get to know each other through the course work or from having a 1:1 meeting. Whatever course of action you take next realize that you will make mistakes but that is just being human—politics just makes it public.
